This year's 20th edition of Art Basel Miami Beach week was a look back on two decades of the fair's and the city's evolution and advancement, while teasing a technologically-driven future.&nbsp;

While Art Basel Miami Beach's 20th anniversary edition was a milestone week dedicated to looking back at its two-decade journey from small beginnings through the years to a city bursting at the seams with everything art today, there was an even stronger and crystal clear message reverberating throughout the city: &nbsp;the organization, its parent company MCH Group, the satellite art and design fairs, cultural institutions, events, installations, and the art world as a whole are stepping forward boldly into the future in unison by showcasing an increasingly technology-driven art market in the present day. &nbsp;Three years have bookended the pandemic: 2019 just prior to, and 2022. In comparing the two respective fair weeks, it's clear as day how much innovative and technological advancement has occurred in these three years. &nbsp;A case in point that times of pressure and stress serve as catalysts for change, evolution and newness. &nbsp;These are exciting times, and the future of the art world is burning brighter than ever.

The week officially kicked off with a momentous and pivotal Art Basel press conference,&nbsp; where change and evolution sat at the core of the conversation.&nbsp; Art Basel&rsquo;s longtime Global Director Marc Spiegler officially passed the baton to incoming Art Basel CEO Noah Horowitz.&nbsp; Spiegler, who is largely credited for the leading and evolving the organization into what it is today, and who alongside Norman and Irma Braman, and with the cooperation of City of Miami Beach - brought the Miami Beach edition to life 20 years ago.&nbsp; Spiegler reminisced on its early &ldquo;Miami Vice days&rdquo; beginnings, alluding to a time when the landscape, personality and identity of the City of Miami Beach was very different.&nbsp; To paint a strong &ldquo;blast from the past&rdquo; picture of its first year, Spiegler described how resistant the city was to giving the fair a slot out of fear that it would not fill enough hotel rooms.&nbsp; Fast-forward to today (the entire past decade in fact), and hotel rates are at their most expensive during art week year-over-year, often reaching 2-4x or more the standard seasonal rates. 
Florian Faber, who was promoted to MCH Group CEO in July took to the stage, commenting on the close-knit relationship between the city and the fair.&nbsp; Like the best of marriages, the two necessary halves of the equation that has made the annual week into what it is today have committed to lifting each other up, helping each other to grow into the greatest versions of themselves. 
Now, while staying true to its soul, Miami has evolved into - and is recognized as - one of the world&rsquo;s most respected cultural centers. &nbsp;In recent years, we have seen other sectors follow suit, setting up shop, including blockchain and tech companies, and Formula One introducing a Miami circuit to its annual schedule.&nbsp; The Miami &ldquo;boom&rdquo; can be in the least partially credited Art Basel&rsquo;s influence on the city&rsquo;s growth and evolution into the lifestyle and cultural destination that it is today.

Returning Art Basel alum Horowitz took to the podium for the first time as CEO to inaugurate the 20th year.&nbsp; Horowitz, who was Art Basel&rsquo;s longtime Director of Americas, had briefly moved to Sotheby&rsquo;s in 2021 during the pandemic to spearhead a new department, serving as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Head of Gallery and Private Dealer Services. 
Now at the helm of arguably the world&rsquo;s most important art fair organization during such a pivotal time where Art Basel and MCH Group are forging their way into innovation, digitization, &nbsp;technology, and overall expansion, one can only anticipate with excitement how Horowitz and team are going to supercharge the fairs and their global platforms from this point forward.

Marking two decades of progress, this year&rsquo;s Miami edition of the Art Basel fair is the biggest and most global to-date, with 282 galleries participating from across the world, including an influx of more Black-owned galleries, more galleries from Africa, Asia and South America. The number of the fair&rsquo;s official partners seems to have doubled (if not tripled).&nbsp; Alongside Art Basel&rsquo;s nearly 30-year long lead partner UBS which has been with the Miami edition since day one, and long-term partners Audemars Piguet, NetJets, BMW,&nbsp;Ruinart and Perrier;&nbsp;are more recent additions including Louis Vuitton, Tezos, Douglas Elliman, Sanlorenzo, La Prairie, Chubb, FARFETCH, Arkive, Saint Laurent, Casa Dragones, Chateau d&rsquo;Esclans, among others.

The fair was full of so many exceptional gallery booths that it is impossible to name them all, but to name a few standouts: &nbsp;Jeffrey Deitch&rsquo;s booth dedicated to goddesses feature the works of Judy Chicago, Nadia Lee Cohen, and Bisa Butler&rsquo;s portrait of Salt-N-Pepa titled &ldquo;Hot, Cool, and Vicious.&rdquo;&nbsp; Jay Jopling&rsquo;s White Cube booth&rsquo;s unmissable larger-than-life $7.5-million sculpture by Jeff Koons&nbsp;titled &ldquo;Bowl of Eggs (Yellow)&rdquo; which was quite literally a 10-foot-wide yellow bowl filled with ginormous eggs. Also featured in the booth were Damien Hirst&rsquo;s $675,000 &ldquo;Fish Cabinet&rdquo; from his formaldehyde-filled Natural History collection, and a Basquiat. &nbsp;Another show-stopper was a massive glittering ball by Olafur Elliason, priced at $1.25 million at Neugerriemschneider gallery.&nbsp;Gallerist-dealer Emmanuel Perrotin, who is recognized for discovering and curating some of the most celebrated contemporary artists of today including the likes of Daniel Arsham, Bernard Frize, and JR, seems to be making it an annual tradition to launch a front page news and social-media-buzz-creating hype piece that has the world at large talking, and fair goers thoroughly entertained.&nbsp; This time it was MSCHF&rsquo;s &ldquo;ATM Leaderboard,&rdquo; which serves as an extremely literal distillation of wealth-flaunting impulses.&nbsp; Interestingly though, affluent art collectors for the most part steer clear at all costs of disclosing their net-worth, normally preferring to keep their financial secrets behind closed doors.&nbsp; Many stepped up to the plate, however, to withdraw bills and thereafter their bank account balance went on display in a ranking list for all the world to see. &nbsp; Diplo came in at #2, with $3-million in his account, while the #1 ranked account balance came in at $9-million.&nbsp; The functional installation sold for $75,000, which was actually quite a reasonable price on art terms when factoring in that it was the most talked about piece of the week. &nbsp;Monsieur Perrotin, looking forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve for the next fair.&nbsp;

Top sales included an Agnes Martin painting at Pace for $9 million, a Kerry James Marshall piece at Jack Shainman for $2.8 million, a Mark Bradford painting at Hauser &amp; Wirth for $2.5 million, a Georg Baselitz painting at Thaddaeus Ropac for $1.4-million, a Tracey Emin piece at Xavier Hufkens for $900,000, a Carol Bove sculpture at David Zwirner for $650,000, two Theaster Gates pieces at White Cube for $550,000, a Michael Armitage, G&uuml;nther F&ouml;rg, and Georg Baselitz for over $1 million each also at White Cube, a Hernan Bas painting at Perrotin at $2.5 million.
Other standout booths in the main part of the fair included those of: Tanya Bonakdar, David Kordansky, Sadie Coles HQ, Gladstone Gallery, as well as Charlie James Gallery in the Nova section of the fair, and Night Gallery and And Now within the Positions section of the fair.

The Meridians section of the fair, which focuses on large-scale works, never disappoints.&nbsp; The section featured 20 works in total, brought together by Magal&iacute; Arriola, Art Basel Meridians Curator.&nbsp; One of the most captivating works within the section was a durational performance by Marina Abramovic disciple, Colombian artist Mar&iacute;a Jos&eacute; Arjona titled &ldquo;Chair&rdquo; presented by Rolf Art Gallery.&nbsp; The artist herself sitting horizontally in a chair (technically laying on her back) suspended in the air for up to six hours at a time, inviting passers by to relax, calmly breathe and observe her as she moves slowly.&nbsp;Other standouts include&nbsp;Simon Denny&rsquo;s &ldquo;Virtual Property&rdquo; presented by Petzel Gallery, Judy Chicago&rsquo;s &ldquo;Birth&rdquo; presented by Jessica Silverman Gallery.

TECHNOLOGY- &amp; INNOVATION-DRIVEN ART WAS EVERYWHERE: BLOCKCHAIN, NFTS, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, IMMERSIVE &amp; BIOMETRIC ART

Tezos, one of the most recent partnership additions to the Art Basel organization, serving as the official blockchain technology for the fair, exhibited &ldquo;Humans + Machines: NFTs and the Ever-Evolving World of Art&rdquo; by new media artist Mario Klingemann.&nbsp; The installation creates generative self-portraits and mints them as NFTs for visitors to take home.&nbsp; Coinciding with the exhibition, Tezos held an in-person conversation series simultaneously streamed live on the company&rsquo;s website, and focused on the NFT movement, and blockchain&rsquo;s utility as a creative canvas.

Art Basel and its parent company MCH Group officially launched Arcual: a new blockchain ecosystem offering smart contract solutions for the art community, co-founded with LUMA Foundation and brought to life by the technology and Web3 expertise of BCG Digital Ventures. Born out of a shared mission, this new purpose-built initiative puts artists at the center of the art ecosystem, offering them greater ownership, transparency, and participation in their careers.&nbsp; The implementation of this new technology-driven venture meets the unique needs of the art world &ndash; including artists, galleries, institutions, and collectors. Arcual&rsquo;s blockchain applications have been designed to create a trusted space for information, partnerships, and transactions within the art world, with smart contract solutions for artist and gallery royalties, custom payment terms, sales agreements, verified provenance, and digital certificates of authenticity.

Superblue and BMW have partnered to present Rafael Lozano-Hemmer&rsquo;s immersive installation &ldquo;Pulse Topology&rdquo; featuring a 3,000-lightbulb sculpture, where each individuals lightbulb glimmers to the pulse of the previous participant&rsquo;s heartbeat, evoking human experiences of escapism, joy and social connection.&nbsp; Inspired by conversations with BMW engineers and designers, Lozano-Hemmer and his studio will use the same technology as in &ldquo;Pulse Topology&rdquo; to activate the BMW i7&rsquo;s interior with a visitor&rsquo;s heartbeat tangible in light, sound and graphics.

Fusing the real world with the metaverse, Daniel Arsham and EveryRealm&rsquo;s subsidiary The Row - a members-only metaverse community featuring fictional architecture designed by artists and architects - launched Ares House, showcasing virtual real estate in the flesh.&nbsp; Dubbed &ldquo;MetaMundo&rdquo; and deemed the world&rsquo;s first-of-its-kind 3D marketplace, the platform makes it easy for architects and designers to publish their models and sell them to metaverse users and builders.&nbsp; Arsham&rsquo;s project which is displayed in a mirrored infinity space by HAZE, is one of The Row&rsquo;s first 30 three-dimensional designs launched.

After a show-stopping installation of Refik Anadol&rsquo;s &ldquo;'Machine Hallucinations: Coral&rsquo;&rdquo; moving AI data-driven monolithic display on the beach in partnership with Faena Art in 2021, Aorist, has returned this year with another awe-inspiring installation on Faena &nbsp;Beach, this time with globally acclaimed collective Random International.&nbsp; &ldquo;Living Room&rdquo; as the immersive experience is titled, is quite literally a &ldquo;living&rdquo; &ldquo;room&rdquo;:&nbsp; featuring a matrix of thousands of light beams jetting from the ceiling to the floor inside a pitch black room, participants find themselves enveloped in a shower of breathtaking lights, then quickly pick up on the fact that motion detectors pick up on their movement, lighting the darkened path in front of them guiding their steps forward and around the room.&nbsp; And there is more to it than just light and motion detectors:&nbsp; upon checking in for the experience via a QR code scan by a greeter at the entrance of the room, the scan activates a steps tracking tool that maps out the participant&rsquo;s motion while moving freely through the room for however long they wish.&nbsp; Upon exiting the room at the other end, participants check-out with another attendance, turn, and immediately see in front of them a screen featuring an animated composition of their steps.&nbsp; From there, participants are welcomed to mint an NFT of the unique visual composition and experience.

Keep a close eye on Aorist, it is leading the way in embracing the future of art, and bringing it to the present day.&nbsp; This next generation cultural institution is commissioning artists and studios who intersect art and technology. Aorist is bringing technology-driven, cutting-edge projects to the world by exhibiting works powered by artificial intelligence, the metaverse, and other technologies; and integrating NFTs into their projects for real-world application of blockchain technology.
Founded by Pablo Rodriguez-Fraile and spearheaded by CEO Patrick Foret&nbsp;(Art Basel&rsquo;s former longtime Director of Business Initatives and Partnerships, who contributed greatly to the organization&rsquo;s evolution from 2010 - 2020), Aorist is a platform powered by Algorand, the world&rsquo;s first <a href="https://www.algorand.com/resources/blog/proof-of-stake-vs-pure-proof-of-stake-consensus">Pure Proof-of-Stake blockchain</a>, the most energy-efficient and greenest blockchain service available. The platform&rsquo;s interface and intuitive technology makes experiencing and collecting art seamless and secure, and is exemplar of exactly how blockchain technology is applied well in - and most importantly functionally helps - the art market.

FARFETCH, one of the latest partners to join Art Basel, has set up shop in the fair's VIP Collectors Lounge with an exclusive immersive booth and installation experience in partnership with Random Studio. Guests have an opportunity to have a fashion mood board generated on a floor-to-ceiling screen that they stand in front that detects the colour palette that the guest is wearing.&nbsp; From there, FARFETCH extracts a matrix of suggested fashion items to purchase featured on the e-commerce platform that aligns with the colour scheme. &nbsp;

Balmain has unveiled a metaverse mansion called Villa Balmain at Superblue Art Museum.&nbsp; Designed by Alexandre Arrecchia, it is a digital replica of Pierre Balmain&rsquo;s real-life architectural masterpiece holiday villa of the same name based on the Italian island of Elba.&nbsp; The metaverse villa is enveloped by a large golden ring resembling a honeycomb as bees fly toward it in the immersive virtual space. The honeycombs are unique 3D-printed hexagonal grids crafted by&nbsp;the advanced proprietary technology of LITO, an art-focused company that produces high-rendering art prints.&nbsp;Arrechea created the artwork through a collection of photos and combined different portions of the images to compose masks. Each of the masks is paired with an NFT. The NFTs, minted on the carbon-neutral XRP Ledger blockchain, are available for purchase on MintNFT.com.

Love is in the air thanks to an installation outside of the Giorgio Armani flagship boutique titled &ldquo;LOVE&rdquo;, intersecting sculptural art, technology and the warm, fuzzy feeling that comes with amorous encounters. The public art project features blue sculptures by Italian artist Marcantonio, depicting animals leading by example to share and show love and kindness: a gorilla and a duck hugging, a koala sat atop a rhino&rsquo;s snout and quite literally giving its tusk a &ldquo;bear hug&rdquo; - a nod to harmonious co-existence, celebration of diversity and unconditional acceptance.&nbsp; Visitors can scan the accompanying QR codes of each sculpture to see the animals come to life on screen and lead them to the Giorgio Armani store, where they can discover the Italian fashion brand&rsquo;s new genderless collection.

Porsche officially made its first foray into the metaverse by launching a virtual brand experience and its first NFT collection.&nbsp; The luxury car company has expressed its intention to commit to Web3 integrations for the long haul.&nbsp; For this Miami project, Porsche commissioned Hamburg-based designer and 3D artist Patrick Vogel who has conceptualized Porsche&rsquo;s new project In his studio ALT/SHIFT, and who has been creating an impressive visual language for various applications. For Porsche, he has been designing digital portraits that center around a white Porsche 911.&nbsp; Buyers can influence the design of their individual NFTs in a collaborative and immersive journey lasting several months, by choosing from three core themes of the Porsche brand and integrating them onto the artwork according to their own customized preferences.

NOTEWORTHY MUSEUM AND GALLERY EXHIBITS, OUTDOOR INSTALLATIONS ACROSS THE CITY

In addition to Art Basel, the anchor fair around which everything else has built, were returning satellite fairs including Design Miami/,&nbsp;Art Miami | Context, Scope, Untitled, Nada, Aqua Art Miami, Pinta, Satellite, Prizm,&nbsp;and Spectrum Miami / Red Dot Miami.&nbsp; Institutions and galleries exhibiting again include the Rubell Museum, P&eacute;rez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), ICA Miami, The Wolfsonian, The Bass, de la Cruz Collection, Gagosian X Deitch, as well as the exciting 2021 aforementioned newcomer, Superblue Miami, an art institution that&nbsp;focuses on large-scale, technologically-driven, interactive installations. &nbsp;Here are a few of the best institutional, gallery and outdoor installation takeaways of the week.

Virgil Abloh was paid homage to at the Rubell Museum&nbsp;by means of an exhibit showcasing Abloh&rsquo;s core principles - or &ldquo;codes&rdquo; - titled &ldquo;Virgil Abloh: The Codes c/o Architecture.&rdquo;&nbsp; The exhibit is jointly commissioned by Nike and VA Securities (Virgil Abloh Securities) which is spearheaded by his widow Shannon Abloh. Featured within the exhibit is a never-been-seen-before collection of Off-White Nike Terra Forma sneakers which Abloh designed from scratch for Nike, and which the brand plans to release later in December along with select apparel.
Virgil Abloh&rsquo;s spirit and legacy lives on. He&rsquo;s not done yet:&nbsp; The exhibition sits within Nike&rsquo;s recently formed partnership with VA Securities called &ldquo;Architecture,&rdquo; a vehicle by which his work can continue to live, breathe and inspire creatives and the world at large.

As an annual tradition, Jeffrey Deitch and Gagosian have come together again for a seventh consecutive year to curate a joint exhibition.&nbsp; This time they have moved the venue from the Moore Building in the Design District to the Buick Building, with a group exhibition titled &ldquo;100 Years.&rdquo;&nbsp; The focuses on artists who recognize the critical nature of a period of sweeping social and cultural change while alluding to the ephemerality of human life and memory within a short period of time in history:&nbsp; a century. A period of time by which humans measure and equate to a long, well-lived life. The exhibit explores the interplay of past, present, and future through contemporary works in a range of mediums. It focuses on artists who recognize the critical nature of a period of sweeping social and cultural change while alluding to the ephemerality of human life and memory. And while in dialogue with the art of the past century, it also anticipates possible future advances.

Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) presented an exhibition of 16 works spanning two decades by Leandro Erlich titled &ldquo;Leandro Erlich: Liminal&rdquo; curated by New York-based Dan Cameron.

The Bass museum has exhibited two artists for art week this year: &ldquo;El fin de la imaginaci&oacute;n (The End of Imagination)&rdquo; by Argentine artist Adri&aacute;n Villar Rojas with Mariana Telleria is on display inside the museum takes viewers on a journey through time and space thanks to an immersive environment that uses new and recontextualized sculptures and installations to explore humanity and the notion that nothing lasts forever.&nbsp; In Collins Park, which the museum overlooks, is Charo Oquet&rsquo;s &ldquo;I Am Here: Translation of Mystic Symbols in an Age of New Subjectivity,&rdquo; a temporary, site-specific sculpture, with a coinciding exhibition inside titled &ldquo;Phraseology,&rdquo; which explores the implementation of text, phrases, and poetry in modern and contemporary art.

At the Miami Beach EDITION hotel, Parley for the Oceans and internationally acclaimed Japanese artist Keiichi Tanaami held a cocktail reception and talk to showcase four of their limited edition surfboards in partnership with Nanzuka gallery, and in support of the non-profit organization&rsquo;s fundamental mission to protect the oceans and to clean up the plastic wrecking havoc on the seas. 
The series of 20 limited edition Paulownia Firewire surfboards feature four psychedelically imaginative designers respectively titled: &ldquo;Indulge in Fantasies,&rdquo; &ldquo;Another World,&rdquo; &ldquo;Contact with Light,&rdquo; and &ldquo;Sign of the Incident&rdquo;&nbsp;
All proceeds from the sales will support the Parley Global Cleanup Network, an alliance to end marine plastic pollution by intercepting plastic waste from the beaches, islands, and in remote coastal communities.

The W South Beach in collaboration with Mambo Creatives exhibited one of the most eye-catching, instagram-worthy installations of the week:&nbsp; an outdoor interactive pathway and sculptural garden by Pilar Zeta titled &ldquo;Future Transmutation.&rdquo;&nbsp; Featuring an aesthetic and spatial compositions rooted in ancient architecture, the violet metallic hue surrounding private shapes and forms weave together several temporalities - past, present and futures to come.&nbsp; A sundial connects the sun, the Earth and the passage of time.&nbsp; Overall, the installation conveys cycles, where we are now and where we need to go.

The Miami Design District enlisted architect-designer Germane Barnes, the winner of its Annual Design Commission, to create an outdoor installation curated by Anava Projects titled &ldquo;Rock | Roll.&rdquo;&nbsp; The project, which evokes and references Miami Carnival vibrancy and energy, is a celebration of - and a love letter to - the communities that have shaped Miami&rsquo;s one-of-a-kind, polyethnic culture, from the city&rsquo;s earliest foundations to today.

LUXURY BRANDS, ART AND DESIGN INTERSECT

A league of beautiful, influential ladies descended on the iconic Casa Tua restaurant in celebration of Planted Air, an artistic installation for Design Miami 2022 created in collaboration with artist &nbsp;Garance Vall&eacute;e and hosted by Perrier-Jou&euml;t &nbsp;Vall&eacute;e, a multi-hyphenate, creates work across the fields of art, design and architecture. &nbsp;Models Karlie Kloss, Grace Mahary and Isabela Grutman came out to support. Guests indulged on a light fare, while sippingPerrier-Jou&euml;t out of the brand's trademark flower-etched champagne flutes.

After introducing its long-term partnership with the Art Basel organization in Paris, Louis Vuitton has popped up again in the lobby inside the main doors of the Miami Beach Convention Centre.&nbsp; The House was one of the first major luxury brands to confidently step into the concept of artist collaborations, commencing with Stephen Sprouse in 2001 when Marc Jacobs&nbsp;was at the creative helm.&nbsp; Now, as Art Basel Miami Beach celebrates 20 years, Louis Vuitton is also celebrating more than two decades of artist collaborations, with Yayoi Kusama at the forefront of the exhibit as the artist and luxury house celebrate a decade of creative nuptials. The showroom exhibit, features signature Kusama polka dot walls, a life-sized Yayoi Kusama wax figure, and selected collaborative pieces from various artists that the brand has partnered with over the years, including Richard Prince, Takashi Murakami, Alex Katz, Jean Larivi&egrave;re, and the now iconic Artycapucines collection which includes the work of Amelie Bertrand, Daniel Buren, Ugo Rondinone, Peter Marino, Park Seo-Bo and Kennedy Yanko.

Continuing their ongoing collaboration together, Ruinart champagne, Art Basel&rsquo;s official champagne partner, and artist Jeppe Hein parked it on the beach in the form of an art installation titled &ldquo;The Ruinart Beach Art Lounge.&rdquo; &nbsp; Featuring a mirrored geometrical dome and large works by the artist on display, and with the beach as the backdrop, the setting served both as an experiential, interactive art piece, the lounge served up just what VIP fair goers running around all day every day needed:&nbsp; a glass of champagne and a moment of mindful escape from their hectic schedules, to unwind, relax, and shut off.&nbsp; Guests who wanted to take their escapism up a notch were welcomed to do so by a guided painting class led by Hein.&nbsp; A longtime practitioner of yoga and meditation, and a lover of nature as a go-to for refuge, the artist led guests sat on cushions in a mirrored dome through a storytelling of breathwork mimicking ocean waves. Hein encouraged them to lean into their breath to guide the flow of their blue paint brush strokes on the canvases on their laps. &nbsp;Making a special appearance throughout the week has been&nbsp;Jerry Gogosian (real name Hilde Lynn Helphenstein), the world's most beloved art world Instagram meme-maker and satirist&nbsp;who has us laughing until it hurts for telling the blunt art sector critiques and truths that no one else dares to say. &nbsp;She is collaborating &nbsp;with Hein to drum up the buzz about the installation. &nbsp;If you have been living under a rock and don't yet know Gogosian, follow her on Instagram and subscribe to her newsletter. &nbsp;All hilariousness aside, she does serious deep dives into the art market through her newsletters and art fair reports.

Saint Laurent, another fairly recently introduced long-term official partner of the Art Basel organization, came together with Madonna&nbsp;this year&nbsp;to exhibit &ldquo;SEX by Madonna&rdquo; in a pop-up installation on the beach.&nbsp; On exhibit and curated by Saint Laurent&rsquo;s Artistic Director Anthony Vaccarello and Madame X herself were curated prints of images featured in her sexually-charged book &ldquo;Sex."&nbsp; At the time of its original release in 1992 the book and the images within were considered to be shocking and highly controversial, pushing (many considered actually crossing) boundaries.&nbsp; 30 years later, it is considered a staple of culture and a welcomed message of freedom of sexual expression. Callaway, the original publisher, is re-issuing 800 copies uniquely made for Saint Lauren, many of which will be signed by Madonna, with all of the proceeds going toward her Raising Malawi charity.

Dolce&amp;Gabbana Casa Collection took over three floors of the Luxury Living Group building to present two new collections:&nbsp; "DG Logo" and "Oro 24k."&nbsp; The patterns and textiles of the overall line are featured across furniture, coffee tables, rugs and lamps, bar furniture and cabinets, dining tables and seats, accessories and decorative objects that evoke a story of love, hospitality, passion for beauty and the art of living daily life in one&rsquo;s abode.&nbsp; The running themes across the two new collections include: Carretto Siciliano, Blu Mediterraneo, Leopardo and Zebra. All are a tribute to excellent craftsmanship, Italian design and brand&rsquo;s DNA authentic codes, identified and reinterpreted to become an integral part of the form and function of each furnishing proposal.

FENDI Casa launched its USA flagship in the Miami Design District midweek, following the opening of its Milan global flagship in April 2022, and in advance of a 3rd location opening in Shanghai in early 2023.
The opening of the 590-square metre boutique coincided with the start of Design Miami/ fair, within which Fendi Casa has featured several furniture and interior showrooms over the years, involving collaborations with several emerging designers including Chiara Andreatti, Cristina Celestino, Dimorestudio, Formafantasma and Peter Mabeo, some of which have been reissued and are now part of the new FENDI Casa Collection.
The interior concept was developed by FENDI Architecture Department, ensuring consistency and uniformity in design that links the various FENDI Casa shops worldwide while infusing individual flair within each location.&nbsp; A central and important feature within the showroom is the Materioteca, a room in which customers, architects and interior designers can sample - through an immersive experience - the entire range of materials and finishes in the FENDI Casa Collection, for a service that aims at personalisation and tailor-made design.&nbsp; And of course, the center of attention within the space are the furnishings themselves.&nbsp; Under the creative direction of Silvia Venturini Fendi are works by internationally leading names in design who have drawn on the brand&rsquo;s heritage of savoir-fairs, tradition and attention to detail, all of which speak to the brand&rsquo;s DNA and identity.&nbsp; Pieces showcased include Piero Lissoni&rsquo;s Ohe outdoor seating system, the steel and crystal Matrice bookcase by Dimorestudio, chaise longue chairs and Pillow Portraits by Lukas Gschwandtner, and the Marcel Wanders O&rsquo;Lock mirror conceptualized by Wanders and Gabriele Chiave, joint creative directors on the project.

It&rsquo;s breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea time at Tiffany &amp; Co&rsquo;s Holiday Residence &amp; Caf&eacute; highly Instagram-able pop-up in Miami.&nbsp; The brand has taken over the OTL Caf&eacute;, and commissioned artists Kai &amp; Sunny to design the fa&ccedil;ade inspired by the city's cultural vitality.&nbsp; The pop-up features bright neon accents, acrylic framed art. Visitors embracing their inner Audrey Hepburn as &ldquo;Holly Golightly&rdquo; will discover an assortment of the House&rsquo;s most coveted gold and diamond jewellery including items from the Tiffany T, HardWear, Elsa Peretti, Jean Schlumberger collections, and the latest and greatest Tiffany Lock.

Design Miami/ fair showcased the latest and greatest in contemporary and emerging design and buzz-worthy conversation pieces. Opening across the street from from Art Basel Miami Beach, conversation-starting highlights from the fair include &ldquo;The Trash Bag Sofa&rdquo; by Harry Nuriev presented by Crosby Studios,&nbsp; melted disco balls created by Kelly Wearstler and Dutch studio Rotganzen, Gaetano Pesce's colorfully distinctive chairs from Bottega Veneta's fall 2022 fashion show, and A$AP Rocky&rsquo;s Hommemade line X Gufram&rsquo;s &ldquo;Shroom Cactus,&rdquo; a re-interpretation of the 1972 design by Guido Drocco and Franco Mello.
