Faby Jaca, founder of Lolita Jaca, on her collection - where timeless elegance meets bohemian sophistication, and every piece tells a story.&nbsp;

L&rsquo;OFFICIEL: What is your earliest fashion memory?

FABY JACA: My earliest fashion memory goes back to my childhood, but it wasn&rsquo;t just the fabrics or clothes that drew me in&mdash;it was primarily my perspective on women. I&rsquo;ve always wanted to make them even more beautiful, to enhance their essence. From a young age, I was captivated by icons like Audrey Hepburn, for her natural elegance, and Brigitte Bardot, for her bohemian and wild style. These two women, with their very different but complementary styles, left a lasting impression on me. My heart has always been torn between these two worlds, and it&rsquo;s this duality that has shaped my approach to fashion.
L&rsquo;O: How would you describe your creations, your style, and your approach to fashion?

FJ: My creations combine timeless elegance and simplicity, with fluid cuts, luxurious fabrics, and unique prints that are part of the brand&rsquo;s DNA. My style, inspired by travel, blends a bohemian touch with chic sophistication. The aim is to create pieces that transcend seasons and become wardrobe essentials for our clients.
 
L&rsquo;O: The name Lolita Jaca &ndash; how did you come up with it?
&nbsp;
FJ: Lolita Jaca was born from my desire to create a universe that is both poetic and evocative. &ldquo;Lolita&rdquo; embodies femininity, lightness, and a certain playful charm. &ldquo;Jaca&rdquo; is a tribute to my roots, both islander and cosmopolitan, and reflects the soul of my creations.
 
L&rsquo;O: You&rsquo;ve traveled to India and Asia since the creation of Lolita Jaca, drawing inspiration from ancient cultures. How do these influences shape the brand and its creations?

FJ: These travels have been an invaluable source of inspiration. I was deeply moved by the colors, textures, craftsmanship, and exceptional embroideries I discovered. The traditions and aesthetics of these regions nourish the very essence of my creations, whether through the choice of materials, manufacturing techniques, or the harmony of colors. Each piece of Lolita Jaca reflects a meeting between these influences and my own universe, creating a unique blend of modernity and ancient traditions.

L&rsquo;O: You have two stores in Saint-Barth and are soon opening a new flagship in Palm Beach. Can you tell us about this expansion into the United States?

FJ: Palm Beach naturally became the perfect location for our expansion. The clientele in this region shares our taste for refined elegance and timeless luxury, which aligns perfectly with the essence of Lolita Jaca. By opening this flagship, we&rsquo;re bringing a bit of Saint-Barth&rsquo;s spirit with us, offering a unique experience that blends island chic with the luxury of Palm Beach. This new step allows us to introduce our vision to a wider audience while staying true to the brand&rsquo;s spirit, combining sophistication with the art of living.
 
L&rsquo;O: Lolita Jaca will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2025. How do you reflect on these two decades?

FJ: These twenty years have been rich in learning, emotions, and challenges. Each step has strengthened my vision and allowed me to grow. The successes, the defining moments, and even the obstacles have shaped this journey. Today, I feel immense pride and deep gratitude, particularly towards my sister Nanou Jaca, director of our boutiques, as well as to all those who have supported me: our loyal clients, my team, and those who have believed in me. This anniversary will be an opportunity to celebrate this path we&rsquo;ve traveled and to appreciate the chance to have realized this dream.
 
L&rsquo;O: What have been some of your favorite moments throughout your journey? 
FJ: There have been so many precious moments! I especially remember the first time I saw a woman wearing one of my creations in New York, by pure chance... It was a magical and emotional moment. There were also the collaborations with artisans in India, which allowed my ideas to come to life in such an authentic way. And of course, the opening of our first boutique remains an unforgettable memory. But beyond these key moments, my journey is also an incredible daily experience. I look at it all with the eyes of a child, always amazed and grateful for this success. I still can&rsquo;t believe the love my creations have received over the past two decades and the loyalty of my clients, who wear and adore my designs with such passion.

L&rsquo;O: What&rsquo;s the best fashion advice you&rsquo;ve ever received?
 FJ: &ldquo;Stay true to yourself.&rdquo; In fashion, as in life, it&rsquo;s essential not to get swept away by fleeting trends and always return to your essence, to what truly inspires you. Creating to last is what makes the difference.&nbsp;
