The 2025 edition of Art Basel Miami Beach concluded successfully, defined by robust sales, the highly anticipated launch of a new digital art sector, and a strong curatorial focus on artists from the Americas. The week signaled a healthy market and a deliberate shift toward diverse narratives and innovative mediums.&nbsp; While monumental sales of blue-chip art occurred (e.g., a $3.3 million Alice Neel painting and a $2.5 million Alex Katz), gallerists noted a strong, steady stream of sales for mid-market contemporary works, often priced under $100,000. This trend suggests a broader, more sustainable collector base is re-engaging with the market.&nbsp; There was a clear trend toward labor-intensive, cross-disciplinary works, blending traditional fine art with craft techniques like intricate textiles, ceramics, and assemblage. Artists like Liza Lou and Sheila Hicks showcased pieces that challenged traditional categories and celebrated refined craftsmanship.&nbsp;

Art Basel Launches Its New Zero 10 Digital And Technology-Driven Initiative
In its new effort to push boundaries and represent the zeitgeist of now, while also forging the future of art within the technologically-driven space, Art Basel debuted its new Zero 10 section at Art Basel Miami Beach 2025. The initiative is dedicated to art of the digital era, aiming to bridge the gap between traditional art market structures and the expanding digital art ecosystem.&nbsp; In an era of Web 3, AI, AR, blockchain technology and NFTs, the art market has in recent years embraced the digital and technology realms as not only new forms media in which art is celebrated, but also as new tools and methods for consuming art across genres. 
In the grand scheme of the Art Basel organization, Zero 10 represents newness and forward-thinking movement toward the future.

The section's name references Kazimir Malevich's 1915 exhibition "0,10," a significant event that redefined creative expression for a new era. "Zero 10" adopts a similar spirit, positioning digital media, including AI, generative systems, robotics, and immersive environments, as central to contemporary art, rather than a specialized niche. This initiative aims to provide structure, credibility, and opportunities for exhibiting, contextualizing, and collecting digital art, reflecting the changing landscape of art creation, viewing, and ownership in the digital age.

Zero 10&rsquo;s inaugural curator Eli Scheinman certainly made his lasting mark through a phenomenally well-received first edition of the section. The highly interactive, engaging and diverse set of projects within the section drew exceptional buzz across the globe via news outlets and social media. The co-founder of the prominent NFT art platform PROOF&rsquo;s plan is to move art of the digital era from the margins to the main floor, positioning it as an integral part of the contemporary art market. This vision is realized by presenting diverse, technology-driven works, such as generative art and robotics, that bridge digital processes and physical forms, making these newer art forms more legible to - and consumable by - a broad audience.

Without question, the most buzzed about project during art week in Miami came from Beeple&rsquo;s (Mike Winkelmann) &ldquo;Regular Animals&rdquo; project within the Zero 10 section. The satirical installation featured robotic dogs (quadrupeds) with hyper-realistic silicone human faces of well known figures in art and technology including Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol and Beeple himself. The robots roamed a pen, took photos of the crowd, and pooped &ldquo;excrement samples&rdquo; of one-off printed artworks - a fraction of which were linked to NFTs via QR codes, connecting the physical installation to the digital art market that Beeple helped define.&nbsp; The work is a commentary on how powerful tech giants and their algorithms filter our perception of reality, suggesting that these figures now shape the modern worldview more than traditional artists.
The robotic dogs fetched (no pun intended) $100,000 a piece, all of which pre-sold to private collectors in advance of the opening of the fair on preview days.

Another noteworthy project was Jack Butcher&rsquo;s &ldquo;Self Checkout&rdquo; presented by his studio Visualize Value - a provocative interactive installation where participants would determine the price of their "artwork," receiving a physical paper receipt whose length corresponds to the amount paid. Ultimately, their investment in their own art piece collectively determined the value of Butcher&rsquo;s installation and project itself by the time the fair came to a close on Sunday. This work explores and blurs the line between commercial transaction and art acquisition, functioning as social commentary on the perceived value of digital assets by pairing the physical receipt with an unsellable NFT that acts purely as proof of ownership.

Other projects in the Zero 10 section included: James Turrell, presented by Pace Gallery, featuring an installation from his Glass series focusing on light and time; Casey Reas, presented by bitforms gallery, exhibiting generative art, including the neural-network project Earthly Delights; XCOPY, presented by Nguyen Wahed, with Coin Laundry, an installation examining the link between NFT trading and gambling; IX Shells (Itzel Yard), presented by Fellowship, with No Me Olvides (or Latin Series (Still)), an algorithmic work exploring memory and cultural inheritance; Mario Klingemann, presented by Onkaos, with Appropriate Response, a machine that uses a language model to generate aphorisms; Andrea Chiampo, presented by Asprey Studio; Dmitri Cherniak, presented by AOTM;&nbsp; Joe Pease, presented by Nguyen Wahed, showing hypnotic video loops; Kim Asendorf, presented by Nguyen Wahed, showcasing algorithmic minimalism; Larva Labs (Matt Hall &amp; John Watkinson), presented by Art Blocks, with Quine, generating geometric images from self-reproducing code; Lu Yang, a special presentation from the UBS Art Collection of DOKU &ndash; Heaven (2022), featuring the artist's digital avatar; Manfred Mohr, presented by bitforms gallery, with his first live generative program; Maya Man, presented by bitforms gallery, presenting a live generative work exploring online desire; Michael Kozlowski, presented by Heft; Tyler Hobbs, presented by SOLOS, with From Noise, exploring the "translated gesture" through generative code.
With such a successful launch of the Zero 10, evidently the sky's the limit for the initiative. &nbsp;Considering how much international news and social media buzz Zero 10 garnered not only for itself but for the fair and organization as a whole, the whole world will be watching for what is to come in its future.

The Inaugural Art Basel Awards
On Thursday the 4th of December, the inaugural Art Basel Awards Night debuted, presented in partnership with BOSS. 
Throughout 2025, Art Basel has made several moves to expand, launching the Art Basel Awards, a platform and occasion to formally celebrate and honor exemplary companies, partners and individuals spanning the industry, who have helped to form the foundation of, to shape, and to build up the art market and community.&nbsp; The first global accolades of their kind the awards that brings together industry leaders, makers, and doers to honor exceptional achievements across the contemporary art world.

Hosted by producer and enthusiastic art collector Kasseem &lsquo;Swizz Beatz&rsquo; Dean, the program brought together artists, curators, and patrons Mike Winkelmann ('Beeple'), Tavares Strachan, Anne Pasternak, and Don and Mera Rubell for an immersive night that combined ceremony with live performance, sound, and architecture. Leading voices from the music and entertainment industry were also out in force, including A$AP Ferg, Khalid, and Friday.

The 2025 Gold Awardees were selected through a unique peer-nominated process and reviewed by an international jury of curators and institutional leaders, including Franklin Sirmans, Director of P&eacute;rez Art Museum Miami; Hans Ulrich Obrist, Artistic Director of Serpentine, London; and Suhanya Raffel, Museum Director of M+, Hong Kong. The 2025 Gold Awardees are: &nbsp;Cecilia Vicu&ntilde;a (Icon) Nairy Baghramian, Ibrahim Mahama (Established Artists) Mohammad Alfaraj, Saodat Ismailova (Emerging Artists), Formafantasma (Cross-Disciplinary Creators), Joel Wachs (Patron), RAW Material Company (Institution), Candice Hopkins (Curator), Gasworks/Triangle Network (Allies), Negar Azimi (Media &amp; Storytelling).
Joel Wachs, Patron Award recipient and President of The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, called on the spirit of the foundation's founder. 'I believe this award should be accepted in the name of Andy Warhol,' he said. 'He&rsquo;s an artist who is fast becoming as well known for his incredible acts of patronage and philanthropy as he is in his groundbreaking art. I hope Andy&rsquo;s philanthropy and your recognition of it will serve as an inspiration for other future artists.' The night also marked the debut of the BOSS Award for Outstanding Achievement, recognizing exceptional cultural impact across and beyond the art ecosystem. It celebrates innovative work that inspires change, and embodies the BOSS values of boldness, personal authenticity, ambition, and responsibility.&nbsp;This year&rsquo;s recipient is Meriem Bennani.
A set by the New World Symphony opened the event, which concluded with a special appearance from singer and cellist Kelsey Lu, whose performance seamlessly bridged classical and experimental forms.

Swizz Beats also paid respect to legendary Architect Frank Gehry, the designer of the New World Center - the building within which the awards night called home that night - asking for a round of applause from the audience. 
That very same evening, under a rare full moon as the awards night guests toasted the evening on the rooftop, the architectural phenom passed away at the age of 96.&nbsp; What a privilege and what special moment it proved to be, for everyone to be together celebrating art and creativity.&nbsp; Frank Gehry was the master of marrying architecture with art, creating sculptural masterpieces that served communities and beautified this world. Immense respect to you, Mr. Gehry, what a privilege to be surrounded by your greatness. Rest in power.

Faena Art Presented Es Devlin's Monumental "Library Of Us"
<div data-subtree="aimfl" jscontroller="v48bt" jsuid="DfJqSb_c" data-complete="true" data-processed="true">Without question the most spectacular, awe-inspiring moment across the city during art week was Faena Art's landmark commission by British artist Es Devlin to mark the non-profit cultural organization's 10th anniversary. &nbsp;Devlin took over three Faena District spaces with three separate site-specific installations that wove together thematically.&nbsp;</div>

It featured 2,500 books that have influenced Devlin's philosophy, including some banned in Florida schools. The breathtaking sculpture rotated like a compass needle and read aloud phrases from selected books in the artist's voice. &nbsp;More than a sculptural gesture, the installation turned the act of reading into a shared performance. An audio score, voiced by Devlin, threaded together quotations from the featured books, including works tied to the social and political histories she often references. Text from these excerpts streamed across a long LED panel embedded into the structure, adding a rhythmic visual layer to the experience.</div>

The glasses allowed guests to listen, read, and converse in their native languages&mdash;an elegant extension of the installation&rsquo;s exploration of communication and shared understanding.</div>

Presenting "Go Where The Wind Takes You" for its second year in a row in Miami, D'Puglia's Art Basel week initiative provided a journey of art, heritage, and regeneration across Miami's most coveted cultural destinations. &nbsp;
D&rsquo;Puglia returned to Art Basel Miami Beach Week 2025 for a second presentation of &ldquo;Go Where The Wind Takes You.&rdquo; &nbsp;A welcome Italian Mediterranean breeze amid the whirlwind rush of the week. &nbsp;The non-profit&rsquo;s initiative was a journey of art, heritage and regeneration, infusing the Southern Italian spirit, soul and substance across the city, and transforming some of its most coveted venues into ports of Mediterranean magic.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The multi-day agenda taking place at three locations - The Standard Hotel &amp; Spa, Miami Beach; AKA Hotel Brickell, and LPM Miami - celebrated the organization&rsquo;s ethos. "Go where the wind takes you" (Va' dove ti porta il vento in Italian) is a common saying in the Italian region of Puglia that advises surrendering to the elements and embracing a sense of adventure, connection, and presence with nature.&nbsp;

The week kicked off with a garden party at The Standard Hotel &amp; Spa, Miami to unveil Puglia | UNFRAMED, an artist-led publication featuring a foreword by Gordana Zgonjanin and Helen Mirren for Save The Olives, alongside installations by international artists including Coco Brun &ldquo;Terra Aura&rdquo;Olfactory Installation, Loug&egrave; &ldquo;Self Preservation&rdquo;, and Marcantonio's "Natural Connection" sculpture in collaboration with TABU and Casa Tabu. &nbsp;The following night D&rsquo;Puglia hosted an intimate VIP dinner in the same location celebrating "Mare, Vento, Terra"&mdash;the spirit of motion. Here, guests discovered VENTO, an exclusive residency perfume by Osmo, and toasted the launch of the &ldquo;Go Where The Wind Takes You&rdquo; non-profit, dedicated to conservation with Art Saint Barth and The Ocean Gala; women in leadership Women &amp; The Wind and Fiorio Cup; and the power of high intention execution with Parea Travel, Imperial Moto and Rubirosa.&nbsp; Also guests learned that D&rsquo;Puglia &ldquo;Go Where The Wind Takes You&rdquo; - in partnership with Horeca Made in Puglia srl and Save The Olives will be a cultural programming partner of the upcoming Mediterranean Games 2026 taking place in Taranto, Puglia, promoting youth empowerment and supporting Olympianathlete Nicola Saveljic.&nbsp;

Day three brought the Mediterranean breeze to AKA Hotel Brickell for an artist meet-and-greet and book signing, welcoming AKA as a 2026 residency partner. Guests mingled with the creative minds behind the program: Antonio Aric&ograve;, Coco Brun, Federica Livia, Loug&egrave;, Vuk Ćuk, and DSCENE co-founder Katarina Dorić. &nbsp;Ending the week on a colourful and vibrant culinary note, the week&rsquo;s journey culminated on day four at LPM Miami, where French Riviera elegance meets Mediterranean joie de vivre. Calabrian artist, designer and creative director Antonio Aric&ograve;'s Art of Tomatini curated by Gordana Zgonjanin &amp; Antonio Aric&ograve; collection transformed LPM's iconic cocktail into a series of collectible objects&mdash;hand-illustrated napkins, sculptural pepper grinders, ceramic plates, and custom playing cards&mdash;celebrating where gastronomy becomes art. &nbsp;Amid an art week that is notorious for bad traffic jams, D&rsquo;Puglia&rsquo;s VIP guests floated effortlessly between venues thanks to its partnership with Powerboats USA, embodying the program's philosophy of fluid movement across Miami's waterways&mdash;a partnership extending into 2026 with Manari Yachts.

Meridians Section At Art Basel Miami Beach
The Meridians section - now in its sixth year - at the 2025 edition of Art Basel Miami Beach was curated by Yasmil Raymond for the second year in a row. &nbsp;This year's theme titled "The Shape of Time" featured 19 large-scale institutional-grade installations and monumental works that pushed the boundaries of traditional fair booths. The section focused on multigenerational artists whose practices explore how art can "embody, distort, or suspend time". &nbsp;&nbsp;

There were several standout installations: Huang Yong Ping presented Double Wing (2016), a political sculpture referencing a 2001 US spy plane incident. Lyle Ashton Harris featured the legendary nine-panel work The Watering Hole (1996). Jes&uacute;s Rafael Soto was represented by a towering, five-meter-tall P&eacute;n&eacute;trable (1992). Marc Straus gallery presented Anne Samat's installation, which incorporates textiles and found objects. Catharine Clark Gallery showcased Stephanie Syjuco's intricate multi-part installation Neutral Calibration Studies (Ornament + Crime) (2016), which blurs the line between real objects and artifice. Ward Shelley and Douglas Paulson collaborated on The Last Library IV: Written in Water, an installation suggesting the collapse of information architecture where banned and stolen books are piled precariously. &nbsp;Kye Christensen-Knowles exhibited the mural-scale painting Cycle of Additional (2025). Silvia Rivas contributed an immersive video installation titled Buzzing (2009). Koen van den Broek presented a four-part work titled Season A, Season B, Season C, Season D(2025). Luisa Rabbia presented a new triptych work.

UBS Presented "Beyond Pop: Art of the Everyday" Featuring Katherine Bernhardt
UBS, Art Basel&rsquo;s longtime Global Lead Partner for over two decades, has a long history of supporting contemporary art and artists, and with that, it has amassed an exceptional art collection. Art Basel fairs throughout the years have always served as a powerful platform to showcase the UBS Art Collection to its clientele and members of the public, extracting works and artist exhibitions that reflect the present times and UBS&rsquo;s values, ethos and purpose; as a means of connecting clients with contemporary art to broaden perspectives, spark conversation and enrich experiences.&nbsp; In effort to further connect with the community, as Supporting School Access Partner, UBS offered complimentary tickets to nearly 1,000 local students.

For the 2025 edition of Art Basel Miami Beach, UBS presented &ldquo;Beyond Pop:&nbsp; Art of the Everyday&rdquo; across the UBS Lounge and UBS Studio, centered on a new commission and series of works by St. Louis-based artist Katherine Bernhardt, while integrating the works of several others artists.&nbsp; UBS also participated in the fair&rsquo;s new Zero 10 initiative, presenting a digital work by Lu Yang.

The highlight of the display is Superstorm (2025), a newly commissioned monumental painting by Katherine Bernhardt that encompasses her signature irreverent motifs derived from the American pop vernacular. Recent acquisitions from the UBS Art Collection by artists such as Gabriel de la Mora and Hilary Pecis will be on view in addition to works by Hong Hao, Claes Oldenberg, Ed Ruscha, Wayne Thiebaud and Andy Warhol, among others.
&ldquo;The works on view at this year&rsquo;s UBS Lounge focus on the everyday objects that surround us in our lives,&rdquo; said Mary Rozell, Global Head of the UBS Art Collection. &ldquo;Through these artistic interpretations, including the incredible new commission by Katherine Bernhardt, pop culture meets fine art.

The UBS Art Studio featured a continuation of Beyond Pop: Art of the Everyday, with additional works from the UBS Art Collection including a vibrant Pink Panther painting, unique screenprint and mushroom-shaped beanbag creations by Katherine Bernhardt alongside a glazed ceramic clock by Pae White and works by Michael Craig-Martin, Anne Collier and Do Ho Suh. A new video filmed in Bernhardt&rsquo;s St. Louis studio ran in both the UBS Art Studio and the UBS Lounge.

Maison Ruinart returned to Art Basel Miami Beach 2025 as a longstanding partner of the global fair.&nbsp; For this edition, as a continuation of its Conversations with Nature program, Ruinart commissioned artist Sam Falls, inviting him to share his artistic vision in a universal creative dialogue, proudly showcased in the Ruinart Plaza Bar housed within the Collectors Lounge section of the fair.

A fusion of photography and painting, and with the unpredictability of the elements as an integral part of his process, Falls uses nature as a trifecta:&nbsp; the medium, the method and the message.&nbsp; He works intimately with the core precepts of photography - time, representation and exposure - to create works that both bridge the gap between various artistic mediums and the divide between the artist, object and viewer.

Falls' artwork coincides with Ruinart Champagne through their shared reverence for nature, biodiversity, and the passage of time, with Falls creating site-specific, element-influenced pieces within Ruinart's vineyards, blending flora, pigments, and the local climate to create ephemeral, living art that reflects Ruinart's commitment to ecological harmony and terroir.&nbsp;
Falls&rsquo; work is made in contact with the elements - his paintings represent botanical portraits of the places in which he immerses himself, incorporating organic materials designed to express a symbiotic relationship with the flora and fauna that inspire him. Now more than ever, is a crucial time to evoke conversation around our environment.

Yanko&rsquo;s work challenges conventional perceptions of materiality and motion. The Reefline Adds "Concrete Coral" Sculpture By Leandro Erlich To Its Seven-Mile Sculpture Park Project
Leandro Erlich's famed "Order Of Importance" installation first reached international acclaim during Art Basel Miami Beach 2019 week, where twenty-two life-sized concrete cars in a traffic jam took over the beach for passersby to immerse themselves in.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Now in 2025 through Reefline the sculptural installation is breathing new life, this time submerged under water so you might need a snorkel to breathe in order to experience it from now on.&nbsp; Reefline - a major environmental initiative that launched its first permanent underwater art installation, titled "Concrete Coral" by Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich - is an ongoing seven-mile long project that transforms public art into ecological infrastructure to help restore the damaged Florida Reef Tract and that helps sea life to colonize.&nbsp; Symbolically reversing the effect our actual cars have on the environment, these sculptures will contribute to restoring damaged natural habitats.

The Rubell Museum Celebrated Its First-Ever Single-Artist Survey: "Thomas Houseago: First Light"
<div data-subtree="aimfl" jscontroller="v48bt" jsuid="JoHjH_b" data-complete="true" data-processed="true" style="text-align: justify;">The Rubell Museum unveiled "Thomas Houseago: First Light," showcasing over thirty works spanning two decades of the artist's career, from early figurative sculptures to recent large-scale paintings. &nbsp;The museum's first-ever single-artist survey centers on Houseago's exploration of the human figure, identity, and the raw emotional intensity of the creative process, a journey shaped by his personal reckoning with mental health, trauma, and survival. &nbsp;Kay themes across his work include figuration, pscyhological intensity, process over polish, and evolution. &nbsp;His artistic range is highlighted across diverse mediums, including wood, bronze, paper, found objects, plaster, and paint on canvas. His work is known for its raw, monumental, and deliberately unfinished quality. The hulking, vulnerable figures often bear visible traces of their making, such as drips, exposed structural rebar, and handprints, which emphasize the human condition and the physical nature of creation. &nbsp;</div>

The Rubell Museum also debuted a solo exhibition of four paintings by artist Lorenzo Amos inspired by his time spent working and living in his Brooklyn studio. Amos explores intimate and personal narratives of contemporary life.&nbsp;

The Wolfsonian-FIU In Partnership With Golden Goose Brings Marco Brambilla&rsquo;s &lsquo;After Utopia&rsquo; To Miami Art&nbsp;Week
On Tuesday the 2nd of December, Golden Goose cohosted a multi-floor opening at the Wolfsonian-FIU, where a large-scale video installation by contemporary artist Marco Brambilla, titled &ldquo;After Utopia&rdquo; was unveiled. With the foundations and techniques of his artworks rooted in and inspired by his career as a film director and producer, Brambilla has for decades been renowned for his contextualizations of popular and found imagery into complex, seemingly infinitely-layered digital collages; as well as his pioneering use of digital imaging technologies in video installation and art.

&ldquo;After Utopia&rdquo;&nbsp;reimagines more than a century of World Expositions &mdash; from Paris 1889 to Osaka 2025 &mdash; treating their iconic pavilions as time capsules of technological optimism. Brambilla reconstructs eighteen Expos as a single ascending digital city, where iconic structures from Paris, Montreal, Brussels, Osaka, Seville, Shanghai, and New York coexist outside chronology or geography.&nbsp; Drawing on visionary 1970s architecture &mdash; especially Archigram&rsquo;s modular &ldquo;Plug-in City&rdquo; and Superstudio&rsquo;s global &ldquo;Continuous Monument&rdquo; &mdash; the work merges the pavilion as reconfigurable unit with the grid as world-structure. This hybrid space reflects how utopian ideals have shifted from physical monuments to algorithmic systems.

For this new project, Brambilla has leveraged the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and computer graphics (CG) to construct virtual landscapes inspired by world's fairs, combining and animating images of iconic structures from 19th-, 20th-, and 21st-century World&rsquo;s Fair expositions. Reimagined together and interpreted through new tools, these visual symbols of nostalgia and optimism create surreal scenes&mdash;each an expression of our aspirations toward better living through technology. Brambilla pulled from The Wolfsonian's archives to shape his work, which is shown in dialogue with the collection exhibition &ldquo;World&rsquo;s Fair:&nbsp; Visions of Tomorrow.&rdquo;

&nbsp;&nbsp;LVMH Returns With An Evolved Format Titled LVMH The Studio Miami
Rebranding and rejigging from its former "Culture House" identity, LVMH returned to Art Basel Miami Beach 2025 with the new title "LVMH The Studio Miami," transforming it into a dynamic space for dialogue, showcasing art alongside luxury, and reinforcing LVMH's commitment to diverse voices in the creative world. &nbsp;An immersive pop-up gallery exhibited works by a global roster of emerging and established artists including Cruisey Babbby, Glenneisha Dawkins, Kieche Francis, Cem Hasimi, Canal Cheong Jagerroos, Clarence Ruth, Mimi.as.studio, Rhymecapsule, Oscar Ukonu, Tom Waugh, William Collins Kennedy, and Atomic Seaweed. &nbsp;The week featured engaging conversations with LVMH executives, brand leaders including those from Dior, Fendi, Rimowa; and creatives on the topics of entrepreneurship and innovation; inclusion in business and culture; legal rights for artists; and the intersection of art, luxury and lifestyle.

Dior Celebrates 10 Years Of Lady Dior Art Project Limited Edition Handbags&nbsp;
On Thursday December 4th in at its flagship store in the Miami Design District, Dior celebrated its 10th year of commissioning artists to design limited edition Lady Dior Art handbags. &nbsp;One of the most iconic handbags in fashion over the decades, the Lady Dior was first conceptualized by Gianfranco Ferre who was Creative Director of the maison in 1994, at which point the handbag was unofficially named "Chouchou," then later renamed as "Princesse" for a short term in honor of Lady Diana, followed by its current name. &nbsp;Since 2016, Lady Dior Art project has invited artists spanning various mediums and backgrounds to infuse the iconic Lady Dior handbag - their artistic DNA invites international artists to reinterpret the iconic Lady Dior handbag.

For Miami Art Week in early December 2025, artist Sarah Morris reimagined the facade of the Burberry flagship store in the Miami Design District. The New York-based artist is known for translating urban environments and architecture into dynamic visual systems, with works held in major collections at institutions like MoMA and the Tate Modern.&nbsp;The Burberry installation featured a massive, vibrant version of her 2004 painting, &ldquo;Department of Water and Power [Los Angeles]&rdquo;, known for its abstract geometric style and saturated colors. The Miami installation was overlaid with the iconic Burberry Check pattern.&nbsp; The collaboration merged art, architecture, and fashion, forming a "playful and humorous subversion" of Burberry's classic motif and positioning the store as a cultural hub during the art-focused week.
