It broke records, becoming the highest-grossing film at the box office for a female director, raking in over 1.3 billion dollars worldwide and counting. The movie boasts an all-star cast including Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Issa Rae, America Ferrera, and Will Ferrell, among many others.
For those of us still diagnosed with a severe case of Barbie fever, it might be time to seek out more content directed by Gerwig to help pass the time as we eagerly await Barbie's arrival on streaming platforms. From acting to writing to directing, Gerwig has left her mark in various Hollywood roles.

Co-written alongside Noah Baumbach, Gerwig stars in the black-and-white dramatic comedy "Frances Ha," which follows the life of a struggling dancer named Frances Halladay (Gerwig). A cinematic adaptation of a classic novel, the film tells the story of four sisters in the years following the Civil War, addressing themes of family, identity, and truth.
