Carine Roitfeld To Curate Annual Fashion Show


Back to its regularly scheduled programming, the <a href="https://www.festival-cannes.com/en/">75e &eacute;dition du Festival de Cannes</a> is returning to its traditional April time slot after having shifted to July in 2021 during the pandemic.&nbsp; The film festival&rsquo;s calendar consists of dozens of film premieres, 18 of which are vying for the coveted Palme d&rsquo;Or: the festival&rsquo;s top prize.

Along with the festival returns a multitude of events including the star-studded and beloved <a href="https://www.amfar.org/events/cannes2022/">amfAR Gala Cannes</a>, the most coveted ticket of the week.&nbsp; The Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) is one of the world&rsquo;s most supported non-profit organisations, with its Cannes fundraising gala serving as its marquee event.

Celebrating its 28th edition and taking place on May 26th, 2022 at H&ocirc;tel du Cap-Eden-Roc, the exclusive black tie affair will play host to an abundance of glamorous stars coming together for a common cause, and will be filled to the rim with yet another exciting agenda, brought together by a dream team of co-chairs including:&nbsp; Baz Luhrmann (in town to premier his highly-anticipated film <a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3704428/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0">&ldquo;Elvis&rdquo;</a>), Carine Roitfeld, Caroline Scheufele, Cynthia Erivo, Ever Gabo Anderson, Kate Hudson, LaKeith Stanfield, Laura Linney, Lauren Remington Platt, Michelle Williams, Milla Jovovich, Mohammed Al-Turki, Sam Bankman-Fried, Vanessa Hudgens, amfAR Board Co-Chairs T. Ryan Greenawalt and Kevin McClatchy, and amfAR Trustee Vin Roberti.

With the ultimate mission to raise funds for AIDS research, the evening&#39;s program will feature cocktails, dinner, live performances by Christina Aguilera, Ricky Martin and Charli XCX, and the annual fashion show curated by longtime amfAR supporter Carine Roitfeld, which will include looks from the world&rsquo;s top designers.&nbsp;&nbsp;Hollywood icon Robert DeNiro will attend as the event&#39;s&nbsp;honoured guest.

Legendary auctioneer Simon de Pury returns to lead an exciting live auction sponsored by FTX, which will include all show looks, along with a collection of contemporary artworks and one-of-a-kind luxury items and experiences.&nbsp;

The theme of this year&rsquo;s fashion show will be &ldquo;Let&rsquo;s Get Married&rdquo; and it will include looks by Oscar de la Renta, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Louis Vuitton Men, Givenchy, Gucci, Chanel, Saint Laurent, De Fursac, Balenciaga, Fendi, Tom Ford, Jacquemus, Valentino, Giambattista Valli, Armani, Alaia, Burberry, Versace, Alled Martinez, Monot, Nensi Dojaka, and Dior, among many others, worn by some of the world&rsquo;s top models.&nbsp;

Presenting Sponsors are FTX and Red Sea International Film Festival.&nbsp; FTX will be the official cryptocurrency partner for amfAR Gala Cannes.&nbsp; Signature sponsors include Chopard and Jelenew, who is working with fashion designer St&eacute;phane Rolland to create a custom dress to be worn at the event.&nbsp; The official beauty partner of the fashion show is Charlotte Tilbury which will provide skincare and make-up products for the event as well as professional make-up artists.&nbsp;
